When it comes to the so-called gambling capital of the United States Las Vegas has two, very distinct faces. On the one hand the grand casinos attract millions of tourists each year, while on the other the city and the surrounding area also offers calm and relaxing areas for the residents of Nevada.

The economy feeds off all the tourist activities, with the grand hotels serving as employment centers. Similarly, the city’s convention business is among the most active worldwide. The Las Vegas Convention Center, located adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, encompasses almost 3 million square meters.

The Vistas at Monterey Ranch in Mountain Edge is located slightly southwest of downtown Las Vegas close to Paradise. Parks, schools and restaurants predominate in this picturesque part of metropolitan Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon National Park is nearby, offering scenic drives, hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking and more, including the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area is also within short driving distance.
